 The internationally-famous Hotel Patrick is a lovely, relaxed and friendly posada (hostel) run by Michael, an Irish film-maker, musician and experienced traveller, and his beautiful Venezuelan partner, Odalis. The hotel is located about 20 metres from the sea, 2 minutes from the town centre and near to some excellent beach-side restaurants. It is rated by the famous Lonely Planet guide book as the No.1 place to stay in Juan Griego. The posada has 9 double rooms and one two-room suite for up to 5 people. The rooms on the upper balcony have a fabulous sea view and all rooms look out on our lush tropical garden. Every room has a private bathroom with a toilet, shower and hot water. Eight rooms have air conditioning and the other 2 rooms have an electric fan. We serve a healthy breakfast of muesli, yoghurt, tropical fruits, juice, toast and coffee at a reasonable price and if you are lucky, Michael might be in the kitchen cooking up an Irish stew or a curry in the evening. Paddy's Bar, the only authentic Irish bar on Margarita, is open all day serving cold local beers, spirits and tropical cocktails in a lively international atmosphere; a great place to meet other travellers and local people. The posada has a free pool table, free internet and WiFi, and hammocks for your afternoon 'siesta'. It also has a 'chill-out' space where you can read a book from our multi-language library or watch a film from our extensive and constantly expanding DVD cllection on our large-screen TV. We accept payment in Euros and US dollars at the official exchange rate and in Venezuelan Bolivars. You can also pay by international bank transfer and PayPal.
